Sjøbjørn 25 (Seabear 25) is a boarding/patrol and FRC, developed in close co-operation with the Royal Norwegian Navy. The boat is built according to latest Solas regulations complying with the requirements for fast rescue craft.
The craft is designed and built to support the crew in operations in rough and icy waters. It has extra long-range capability, extra seats for crew and special designed canopy for boarding operations. A fire pump, rotating window and towing hook is also fitted. The craft has extra strengthening in hull and fender system, heated deck, cockpit and engine room. The large engine and waterjet give extra speed and manoeuvrability in rough weather and critical situations. The craft can seat total crew of 8. Details are built with extra care for crew and the special requirements a Navy or Coastguard might have.
The craft is is type approved with a CE certificate acc. to Solas 83, nominated body: DNV, in addition it has a type approval from NMD.

The fender system is made of special foam, and protected with tailor-made PVC cover.
Lifting arrangement is made of high quality steel, fitted with approve off-load release hook. The capsize reversal equipment consist of aluminium gantry, inflation bag and CO2 bottle.
